Rioja is one of the world´s most loved wine regions, without doubt thanks to its lovely berry fruit, soft rounded tannins and an incredible ability to age well.

There is a revolution going on in the region, where young winemakers are focusing on the individuality of villages and individual plots rather than just focusing on time in oak to define character.

Gonzalo and his young team are one of the new comers to the scene despite having grown up in and around traditional winemaker, they are now pushing boundaries to create a new future and direction for Rioja, all based on the individuality of each unique terroir like Burgundy.

They are also experimenting with different vessels for fermentation using cement, wood and other new materials in several different shapes and sizes, giving way to interesting out of the box wines that still manage to maintain the essence of what makes Rioja so loved!
