Alan de Val is a pioneering, family winery committed to wines made from native grape varieties, where tradition and terroir form a genuine profile of their own. In addition to the quintessential varieties of the Valdeorras region, Mencía and Godello, they make wines with other varietals characteristic of the area: Garnacha Tintorera, Brancellao, Caiño and Sousón. All with the máximum respect for their own vineyards using knowledge passed down from generation to generation. Situated on the slopes of Valdeorras, their herotic efforts to strive in extreme conditions makes their outstanding wines even more commendable.

Red wine made from Brancellao, Caíño and Sousón grapes and aged for 6 months in barrels. Manual harvest, in boxes of 14 kilos. Selected grapes from vineyards located in the villages of A Rúa and San Miguel. Alcoholic and malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature. 6 months in French oak barrels of different sizes, to provide touches of wood of different intensities.

Estate wine made from 100% Godello grapes from the Pedrazáis vineyard in the D.O. Valdeorras. Manual harvest, in boxes of 14 kilos. Selected grapes of the Godello variety from our Pedrazáis estate. Fermented at only 12º C for more than 30 days and aged on fine lees for 3 months during which the wine is carefully rocked to give it that characteristic finesse and strength.

Aged in different French and American, Burgundian and Bordeaux oak barrels for 10 months.

Aged in Burgundian French oak barrels. Made according to old traditional methods and aged for 15 months in two types of French oak barrels.
