Carlos has looked after his family vineyards in Cigales since he was knee high to a grasshopper and Maria has had an illustrious winemaking career in neighboring region of Ribera del Duero.
After so many years of selling grapes and making wine else where it was time to make their own, in the historic yet still relatively unknown region of Cigales where old vines of Tempranillo produce stunning fruit. Traslanzas is the name of their oldest vineyard and results are simply stunning.

This is the first modern-style red wine produced in the Cigales Denomination of Origin, made exclusively from grapes grown in the Traslanzas vineyard. The age of this vineyard, cultivated in the traditional goblet style, with a production of less than one kilogram of grapes per vine, together with a winemaking process that respects the grapes, make this wine with exceptional sensory characteristics.
