The Toro born Kiko Calvo travelled around the world working in wineries before returning home to make his artisan, small production "rebellious" wine from his great grandfathers vineyards. A very different TORO. Less oak, less extract, more freshness.

The Albariño grape from the cool spanish region of Rias Baixas has become the most sought after white wines from Spain over the last 1o years. Despite its relatively new launch to superstar status, the region has been making wine for centuries, a fact Casa do Sol can confirm. From this small family 15th Century estate comes one of Rias Baixa´s finest wines. Made by Manuel Manzaneque, one of Spain´s most respected wine makers.

Have you ever heard of Manchuela? It's hard to believe that this stunning region is still largely unknown. We absolutely love this small, up and coming region located on the Mediterranean coast. Thanks to its calcareous limestone soils, combined with the gentle Mediterranean breeze, the resulting wines are rich and ripe with incredibly intense color, explosive fruit flavors, and a wonderful velvety full palate. 

It is incredible that there are still small plots of vineyard in Spain left to be discovered. Garcia de Lara, based in Toledo, is an inspiring project in which Miguel Garcia de Lara and his brothers and sisters are slowly reviving their historic, century old family vineyards and winery while all their neighbours are uprooting their vineyards to plant other things. 

Following 40 years of growing grapes, the Carpintero family decided to turn their amazing fruit into their own wines. In 2001 they began experimenting and after a few years they were convinced they have achieved the perfect quality. No expense has been spared to ensure maximum quality, their very clear goal.  

After years of creating Leon´s benchmark, winemaker Pedro Mittelbrunn threw caution to the wind to follow his dream to «help revive» Leon´s local grapes, Prieto Picudo and Albarin, gaining him the name of Pedro Prieto Picudo. 

Spain´s answer to Champagne at the top level and Prosecco at more affordable prices, but as always with Spain, price / quality relationship is also super! All the fun of Champagne but without the price tag!

Surrounded by the olive oil culture instilled in the region by past generations, we have thousands of hectares of centuries-old olive groves surrounded by an extensive biodiversity. We produce early harvest extra virgin olive oils from the picual variety.

Especially when they are the only farmers to not have sold their super vineyards to a big player to keep the vineyards in the family. When the Bobal grape variety was reviled, it was widely believed that quality red wines could not be made with Bobal.  In our constant search for wines with their own personality, genuine, different and of great quality, we were visionaries when we found uniqueness with our native Bobal grape variety.  It has been 22 years since 1998 when the first Casa don Ángel - Bobal was produced and we are proud to have started a trend that today almost all the wineries in Utiel-Requena continue.

Founded in 2002 by 2 well experienced wine professionals with many years of tasting, growing grapes and making wine behind them. With this project they aim to make first class Ribera Del Duero from vineyards that have belonged to their families for generations.

Augustin and his family are born and bred in the rural mountains of Salamanca., one of the most beautiful and unspoilt regions of Castilla y Leon. Having served the region and its many visitors, the family has made wine for generations. Alarmed  by the up rooting of many wonderful old vine Rufete vineyards, they not only decided to produce their own wine to create a bench mark for others to follow, they created the D.O Salamanca together with local farmers. 

Jose Antonio runs this boutique family winery from La Rioja Alta region of La Rioja. The 5th generation of grape growers has already joined Jose Antonio to continue family traditions. They own 30 hectares of prime vineyards passed down from generation to generation along with the knowledge of each and every parcel. The family have been supplying top quality grapes to the prestigious producers of Rioja since time began. It is now time for them to flee the nest and let the world enjoy their wines.

The Martinez Saez family have been working the lands of central Spain for generations, both in farming and creating machinery to farm the lands. This low-key family winery once thrived in larger quantities of bulk wine until recently when Angel decided quality was the way forward. This recent transition from volume to a much more quality focus has produced amazing results. With the help of new technology, investment in premium oak, limited yields and new winemaking local talent, the transformation is ready to share with the world.
